Help With Business Letter PleaseViews: 1144

Paula Horlick
Hi

I am needing some input on my business letter please.

I think this is ok for introducing my business but I don't likeit in terms of trying to get busines.

I am wanting to send this to prospects and try to get them to put my scarves in their place of business.

This is what I offer........ They get 20% commission. As far as paying me they can write me a check at the end of the month or what works for them.

I would love to put gift baskets or something like that for a drawing.

I do have this on a company letterhead

The purpose of this letter is to briefly introduce myself and my business.

My name is Paula Horlick, and I own The Vintage Scarf where I not only sell actual vintage scarf's, but am also a consultant. My customers consult me if they want a specific scarf or scarf accessory. This includes scarf clips and buckles.

All of my scarves and accessories are Vintage, the real deal nothing new.

As you know, scarves are back in a big way this year.

In addition to my web site, I also offer "scarf parties", I take my scarves, accessories and a mannequin and demonstrate the many ways to tie and wear scarves. The hostess serves refreshments and the scarves sell themselves.

Anyone can have a scarf party at a place of business, their home or even my home!

If you would like to see my work, I have a display at Merle Norman Studios in Bella Vista.

Or if you'd like to stop by in person to check out a specific item, please email me or give me a call, and I will set up a time when it would be convenient for you to come by. I work out of my home and hours are by appointment.

Please call me at 479-876-6429 to host a scarf party or to have a personal consultation.

I was very touched when I received a phone call from a lady who was just diagnosed with cancer and was concerned about still looking stylish after she looses her hair. She works in a corporate office.

Please feel free to forward this information on to anyone you know of who would love to be included.

Thank You!

Paula

Hi Paula,

I've been away for awhile but happened to stop by and see your post. I'm a good letter writer so I would be happy to edit yours here. Try this one on for size :-) This should serve to introduce you AND to invite business.

Dear Ms. Smith, (Get the business owner's name and use it)

My name is Paula Horlick and I am the owner of The Vintage Scarf. As you know, scarves are back in style and hugely popular this year, and all of my products are authentic vintage.

I also provide consulting services to customers who request help with any of my scarves or scarf accessories, such as clips and buckles.

In addition to website sales, I coordinate "Scarf Parties," where refreshments are served as I demonstrate on a mannequin the many ways to tie and wear scarves and add accessories. The scarves really sell themselves. The parties can be held at a host's home or business location or even my home!

You can see my work currently on display at the Merle Norman Studios in Bella Vista, or I would be happy to invite you to view the items at my home office.

I would like to discuss the possibility of showcasing my scarves at your business, hosting parties with you, and providing items for drawings. I offer a very generous commission arrangement.

Please call me at 479-876-6429 to set up an appointment at your convenience.

I'd like to add that I was very touched when I received a phone call from a woman who was just diagnosed with cancer. She works in a corporate office and was concerned about still looking stylish after losing her hair.

Please feel free to forward this information to any contacts who would be interested.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Paula M. Horlick
